Alternative Voting Opportunities

Options are available for voters who may not be able to vote on Election Day which is being held October 26, 2022.

Candidates should be familiar with the options that are available in their municipality so that they can inform voters and make sure their supporters come out to vote.

Voters should also be referred to the SEO for information.

Options include:

ADVANCED VOTING– The RM of Ste. Anne will be holding our advanced polls on October 15, 2022 from 8AM to 8PM at the RM of Ste. Anne office located at 395 Traverse Rd in Ste. Anne MB.

MOBILE VOTING – Municipalities may establish a mobile voting station, which travels from place to place, to serve patients or residents in a health care facility.

A mobile voting station may also be set up on Election Day, or before Election Day, as an advance voting opportunity.

SEALED ENVELOPE VOTING – Voters may vote in two ways by sealed envelope:

1. In Person between 28 and 3 days before election day

A voter may apply in person at the RM of Ste. Anne during regular business hours and will be given a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application

2. In writing between 90 and 3 days before Election Day

If a voter applies either by mail or by email, the application must state the applicant's name, address and telephone number.  The application must also include legible photocopies of identification and a declaration of eligibility (the declaration may be signed right on the application form)  


Scrutineers and candidates are entitled to be present at alternative voting opportunities.
