Current Fire Ban Status: Level 3
(as of May 14, 2026)

Fire Ban Chart

At all times

Under the RM’s Fire By-law, any person who starts a fire is fully responsible for it at all times. This means:

  • All fires must comply with applicable provincial and federal legislation, including The Wildfires Act and Crop Burning Regulations.
  • Fires must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
  • Fires should not be started during dry or windy conditions, as these increase the risk of the fire spreading out of control.
  • An adequate water supply or extinguishing method must be available on site.
  • Smoke from the fire must not create visibility hazards for traffic or negatively affect the health or safety of nearby residents.
  • Fires must be completely extinguished before the site is left unattended.

These requirements apply at all times, regardless of the current fire restriction level. Please note that burning garbage is prohibited at all times.
